About

FINE CHAOS is a Danish fashion label founded in February 2021 by Creative Director Marc C. Møllerskov. The oxymoronic wordplay ’FINE CHAOS’ perfectly describes how objects in the ever-changing contemporary society can be perceived in two completely different ways.

FINE CHAOS is built as an androgynous brand, celebrating people regardless of appearance, gender, sexual orientation, or religion. These values are not treated as statements, but as lived principles embedded in the brand’s community, casting, events, and creative process.

’DEEPER THAN QUALITY’

At the core of FINE CHAOS lies the belief that garments must carry value beyond material quality alone. This philosophy is condensed into three interconnected pillars: longevity, storytelling, and confident expression.

FINE CHAOS garments are not designed to be worn down and devalued after a few uses. Instead, production techniques and design decisions allow wear to become additive. Fraying surfaces, exposed seams, modular details, and customizable hardware are intended to evolve through use, allowing the garment’s aesthetic to build character over time rather than deteriorate.

Storytelling forms the foundation of every collection. Each season is developed through extensive narrative work – from written scripts to fashion films, artworks, and symbolic silhouettes. These elements establish a conceptual framework that guides design decisions and invites the community into a shared universe rather than a single product drop.

Confident expression completes the triangle. FINE CHAOS is not about prescribing identity, but about creating space for wearers to project their own. The garment is first finished when seen on the wearer.

COMMUNITY

Community is not an extension of FINE CHAOS – it is infrastructure.

From hangar parties, clubs, and warehouse raves to pop-ups and in-store activations with international stockists, FINE CHAOS creates physical experiences as an integral part of the brand. We regularly host events in Copenhagen and internationally, ranging from intimate gatherings to large-scale runway shows and parties with several hundred participants. These moments serve as cultural touchpoints where people do not just attend, but actively participate.

Participation extends beyond events. Members of our global community are invited to model in editorials, contribute backstage at runway shows, attend exclusive showcases with our designers, and engage directly with the brand’s development. This creates a two-way relationship where feedback, discussion, and shared ownership shape the brand’s evolution. Community co-creation is not a tactic, but a long-term principle where the people shape what the brand will become.

To expand beyond the original Copenhagen confines, we operate our FINE CHAOS Society – an open & curated digital community, anchored on Discord. The Society functions as a living extension of the brand universe, bringing together community members, collaborators, creatives, and supporters across geographies. Here, dialogue continues beyond seasonal drops, allowing ideas, references, feedback, and opportunities to circulate in real time.

The Discord is used to share early insights, invite members into processes, coordinate physical gatherings, and surface talent directly from within the community – from DJs and artists to contributors involved in shows and events. In this sense, the Society is not a loyalty program, but a social structure that reinforces belonging, transparency, and long-term engagement.

For FINE CHAOS, fashion does not exist in isolation. Value is created through shared experiences, ongoing dialogue, and cultural participation – where what we wear is inseparable from what we live.

RESPONSIBILITY

We are not yet sustainable – and neither is the fashion industry as a whole. At FINE CHAOS, we believe sustainability is something a company must earn, not claim. Real change requires circular systems across every link of the supply chain, and while we are not fully there yet, we take responsibility for the impact we create and actively work to reduce it.

Our approach begins with structure. Almost all FINE CHAOS garments are developed using monofibre constructions, allowing them to re-enter recycling systems more effectively at end of life. We work with certified fabrics and certified production processes, prioritizing responsibly sourced materials such as organic cotton (GOTS) and environmentally improved dyeing methods. These choices are made not for optics, but to establish a foundation that supports circularity over time.

Sustainability is not only about materials – it is about how value is defined. We design garments to be worn, altered, repaired, and lived in. Wear, imperfection, and transformation are treated as part of a garment’s identity rather than as flaws. Pieces are intended to evolve with the wearer, gaining character through use rather than being replaced at the first sign of change.

To support longevity, we offer repair services for unintended damage, reinforcing the idea that garments should last rather than be discarded. Production runs are intentionally limited, and we do not reproduce items once they are sold out. On rare occasions, pieces may reappear due to returns or inventory adjustments, but the core principle remains: scarcity is structural, not manufactured.

We view sustainability as an ongoing responsibility rather than a finished state. By committing to transparency, traceability, and long-term supplier relationships, we choose to grow through honest practice rather than overstated claims.
